Casa de Las Manos is a newly renovated colonial home in the Santa Ana
district of the Centro
Historico of Merida.

The front section of the house is built within the original stone walls of the old colonial
structure. This includes the foyer, kitchen, gallery, dining room, living room, outdoor living room
and two bedrooms with a shared bath, all connected by an elegant loggia. Many of the original floor
tiles were saved and repolished. The stone walls surrounding the garden are also of original
construction.

The new building is in the back of the property. It is a three story colonial-style building, with
two master bedrooms and a roof terrace, all overlooking the filtered swimming pool that is nestled
into the garden between the two buildings.

Each of these bedrooms enjoys a lovely cross-breeze from windows and doors that open onto a private
terrace overlooking the pool. There are spacious closets and bathrooms opening onto each bedroom,
both complete with air conditioning and televisions.

Casa de Las Manos is designed for indoor/outdoor living, which is one of the most enjoyable aspects
of spending time in the Yucatan. Spend your vacation enjoying many wonderful attractions, all less
than a day away, and this beautiful home in the center of all that Merida has to offer.

Casa de Las Manos is located in the center of one of the oldest and most interesting cities in all of
Mexico. As the capital of the Mexican state of Yucatan, Merida is the cultural and governmental
center of the state, but it is also the traditional cultural center of the entire Yucatan peninsula.
As a consequence, the city always has something to offer our visitors.

Any week of the year, there will be multiple events in theatre, dance or music to entertain you. Art
galleries, museums, shopping and a variety of restaurants are just a few blocks away or a few minutes
by taxi.

At the turn of the 20th Century, Merida was a thriving economic center due to the henequen trade.
Hotels, homes, haciendas and other grand buildings were constructed with the wealth that flowed into
the area. Just blocks from Casa de Las Manos is the Paseo de Montejo, where an evening stroll will
allow you to view the historic mansions and the modern sculpture exhibit placed along the sidewalks
in front.

There is much to explore in Merida, and Casa de Las Manos is centrally located, making exploration
both pleasurable and convenient.

*Meters are read upon arrival and upon departure. (Average electricity per week $35 US to $60 US.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Deposits
50% deposit required upon confirmation of rental agreement. Balance due 10 days prior to arrival
date. Deposits and balances returned ONLY if we are able to rent the house during the time you
cancelled. A refundable security/damage deposit equal to the rental amount is due upon arrival, to be
held by the property manager in case of damage.
