Beautiful 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathrooms, sleeps six comfortably.
The master bedroom has its own bathroom. There is a large closet
and a matrimonial bed for two adults. The other two bedrooms share
a full bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a closet and a matrimonial
bed for two adults. The other bedroom has a large closet and two
twin beds for individual people. The mattresses on all the beds are
new and of the highest quality for your rest and comfort. Down the
hall is another 1/2 bath. All bedrooms and living areas including
kitchen are on the lower level. The upper level has a sundeck for
relaxing.
The floors are made from a local red tile except in the bedrooms
where wooden floors are present.
The home is centrally located in the most peaceful area of San
Cristobal on a small hill overlooking the city. Everything you want
is located nearby.

entertaining and privacy. The three bedroom are located for maximum
privacy. The house is full of natural light with high ceilings and
modern electrical conveniences. The house is newly plumbed, with all
new applicances.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and preparing food. There
is a coffee maker and juicer. All furniture is comfortable and
new.
The house is used primarily as a family retreat. There are no
distractions like television, stereo or telephone. All services can
be obtained within a 5 minute walk.
You can be at peace reading and relaxing on the roof top patio.

Casa Berta is located in the Cerrillo historic district. It is one
block from the quaint church and courtyard of Cerrillo. It is three
short blocks from the Mayan crafts market, a daily, lively event at
the Temple and Exconvent Santo Domingo. Just down a side street from
the house you can enter the bustling Mercado of San Cristobal.
Within a ten minute walk you can visit the Cultural Museum of Na
Balom. Ten minutes walk south to Real de Guadalupe area of shops
and restaurants. Email access ($1 per hour) and telephone use is
affordable and within 5 minutes of Casa Berta.
Day trips to the cascades of Agua Azul, the grand canyon of Mexico -
Canon de Sumidero, the waterfall of Misol Ha, the bealutiful waterfalls of
El Chiflon, the incredible ruins at Palenque and Guatemala can be easily arranged.
The nearby Mayan villages of Zinacantan and San Juan Chamula are a
must for any traveler. We can recommend the best guided tour.
