Vacation Rental Description

Villa Canadiana is a beautiful 4 bedroom house right on the white  
sandy beach in the town of Chelem.There is a large covered porch to  
have a party,watch the waves,cruise ships that sail by and the  
dolphins.Hot water,3 full baths,full security on the doors and  
windows,fine furniture and new kitchen appliances.3 Queen size  
beds,closets(hammocks available at reasonable price).We own 4  
beachfront homes in this area close to each other and we rent them  
out.So if you want a wedding party or anniversary party we have the  
right houses for you.Special discounts can be negotiated in those  
circumstances.All 4 houses are listed on this site so look for  
them.We can arrange catering if needed.Please note that Villa  
Canadiana is advertised as a 3 bedroom house as we keep one room  
locked all the time for our own personal items.The house is fully  
furnished.The huge backyard is fully fenced. 
Television provided for free.Internet provided for an extra charge.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Chelem is a fishing town of 6000 people located 10 minutes drive  
west of Progreso which is the harbour city of 50000 people.Merida  
is the capital city of Yucatan and has a population of 1 million.It  
is a 30 minute drive away.Chelem has a few small stores for daily  
supplies and a few nice seafood restaurants.Major department stores  
including Walmart,Costco,Staples,MacDonalds etc are available in  
Merida and Progreso.Golf course is about 15 minutes from  
Chelem.This part of Mexico is very friendly with a family atmosphere  
and virtually devoid of crime.The ocean is great for swimming,  
snorkeling, fishing, boating etc. 
Enjoy your private beach and sunbathe or play beach Volley-Ball. 
Very long beach for you to explore.Petra is a very nice Mexican lady  
who speaks English and Spanish and is your caretaker.She is always  
eager to help and can be reached 24/7 on her cell phone. 
 
Getting There is easy.From your home fly to Houston and from Houston  
it is a 90 minute flight to Merida airport.Then rent a car at the  
airport as driving around this city is easy.The roads are numbered  
East to West in even numbers and North to South in odd numbers.A  
taxi ride from Merida airport is your alternative.

Activities and Attractions

Enjoy a relaxed lifestyle on the beach.Play Golf at the excellent  
golf course 15 minutes away.Go on a boat ride and do some fishing as  
Petra can arrange it for you.Watch the dolphins and the  
Flamingoes.Enjoy fresh seafood and Petra will get the fishermen to  
come right to your doorstep if you ask her.Enjoy the coconuts in the  
backyard.Merida comes to life every Saturday night with singing and  
dancing in the downtown streets till 4 am and enjoy the open air  
restaurants and bar while watching all that.Visit Mayan ruins at  
Chitzen Itza recently designated as one of the seven wonders of this  
world.Experience the boardwalk of Progreso lined by fine  
restaurants and stores.There you will find the longest pier in the  
world projecting an estimated 7 kms into the ocean.Visit the Cenotes  
which are underground caves with crystal clear water for you to  
bathe in.Visit Chixulub the site of the giant meteor that hit our  
earth and ended the dinosaur dynasty.Food and drinks are really  
cheap.

Vacation Rental Rates

September to June:   $400 USD/week or $1400 USD/month 
July to August:      $700 USD/week or $2300 USD/month 
 
Credit card payments are accepted and so is payment through  
Paypal.$50.00 deposit needed to make reservation and the balance is  
payable anytime before your stay.Once I receive your booking request  
I will email you an invoice which you can pay by credit card or  
through Paypal.When the deposit is received our website calendar  
will reflect your booking.Petra,our caretaker, will ask you for $200  
damage deposit when she shows you into your house and she will  
return that money to you at the time of your departure.
