One-level living in this casita on Icebox Hill overlooking the 
city, the canal where the cruise ships dock, and the North bay. 
Traditional design blends with contemporary comfort. The kitchen has 
all stainless steel appliances and traditional handmade tiles. This 
home is newly remodeled and designed for casual living.

We are located in a relatively quiet, real Mexican neighborhood with friendly 
neighbors and within walking distance to many sites of interest. 

In the neighborhood, you can have a delicious lunch for $1.70 US at 
the taco cart down the street owned by our neighbors, Lori and Chuy. 
Or, shop at the corner store owned by Berta and Alfredo, where you 
can buy one aspirin, one tomato, or one egg. Berta would love to practice her English
with you, and she will be patient helping you with your Spanish. 
And, don't let Alfredo fool you, he speaks very good English.

Our neighbor, Eric, drives a taxi and is happy to schedule with you to take you to the airport when 
you leave, or to take you around Mazatlan for shopping or sight-seeing.

In the morning, enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast on the 
1200-square foot terrace covered with Saltillo tiles, while you gaze 
at the enormous and beautiful cruise ships pulling in to the canal, 
and watch and listen to the city waking. 

You can also see the refreshing bay water to the north from this 
level. But, take the spiral staircase to the roof of the casita for 
even more spectacular views. There's plenty of room up there for 
lounging, as well.

We do not accept smokers. 

$850 per month, plus utilities. 

Tenant pays all utilities (electricity, gas, water,
telephone (Vonage), cable which includes television and high-speed internet service; television 
service has English& Spanish channels)

Cable and Vonage cost is $95.00 USD per month. All other utility costs are dependent upon your use. 
A rough estimate of total utility costs is no more than $150 US. That includes the cost of the cable 
and telephone. It does not include an estimate for the use of the AC during the summer. However, 
each room has a ceiling fan, and we have nice breezes since we are located on a hill. There is no 
additional cost for any calls to the US or Canada.

Security deposit equivalent to one month's rent is required to reserve space. If you 
cancel, we will attempt to rent the casita for the time period you requested. If we are able to do 
so, we will be happy to return your deposit.

We will consider a well-behaved pet, but the rent will be increased to cover the additional wear-and-
tear of the pet. The additional rent amount will depend on the type of pet you have. In addition, we 
will require a pet deposit.
