Vacation Rental Description

Charming, rustic palapa home Casa Tukan is located in the heart of Tulum where the turquoise sea  
has the most beautiful beaches of white sand, fresh water ceynotes(underground rivers),Mayan  
ruins,and nature at its most magnificent. People come from all over the world to dive or swim in the  
blue crystalline waters of the ceynotes. Located 145k south of Cancun,Tulum is an ancient Mayan port  
built on a cliff, overlooking the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. It is an important center for  
astronomic observation, hence an important archeological zone. To preserve this nature,Tulum is an  
eco-tourist area, meaning there is no electricity on the beach. Casa Tukan is powered by generator  
and has outdoor ecological toilet. The rustic cabana has a charming thatched roof for natural air- 
conditioning,and is surrounded by beautiful palm trees and exotic flowers. The beach is a short 100  
feet across the street from the property. There is a outdoor kitchen for guests use with gas burner,  
and no fridge. There is a cooler with ice available for cool drinks.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Kitchen for guests use only. Electic voltage for the house is 12 Volts.Aprtemnt with balcony for  
convenient bird-watching.   Restaurants and night life within walking distance. Towels  
provided,sheets changed 1x week. Maid service provided 3x weekly. Spanish lessons available.

Activities and Attractions

Swimming, Body surfing, snorkeling, diving, in ceynotes(underwater caves) and the Caribbean ocean.  
Stargazing, and moongazing. Wildlife and bird watching. Tulum ruins 15 minutes away by car, and Coba  
jungle ruins (a must see), 1/2 hour by car. Major ecological parks Xcaret and Xel-ha located 45  
minutes away. Tulum town as well as beach has many fine restaurants and trendy clubs for dancing and  
partying ,or just kicking back for a nice cold CERVEZA, a spanish word everyone knows.  Renting a  
car is highly recommended. If you are looking for a totally natural experience, different from the  
usual concrete air-conditioned rooms of Playa and Cancun , Casa Tukan is FOR YOU!!!
