Roosters crowing, dogs barking, music and sounds of the village, the rolling of surf, 
singing of birds, the gentle thud of falling coconuts, the odour of tropical flowers - 
un-crowded beaches, blue skies, gentle breezes - all contribute to the perfect Mexican 
vacation! This is not the sterile, everything included big hotel experience!
Casa Alegría is on a large corner lot with views of the Bay and the Sierra Madre 
Mountains, in an authentic Mexican neighbourhood where you can enjoy the cultural 
experience and practice your Spanish, yet not be too far removed from the “gringo 
community”.  Casa Alegría is a delightful newly renovated home within walking distance 
to the central plaza.  Beach access is an easy 5 block walk.  We have a private salt 
water pool.  
The three bedrooms overlook the pool and deck area.  There is also an independent casita 
which sleeps 2, with full bathroom.  Also featured is an extensive CD, book, and video 
library. The kitchen is equipped with an espresso coffee machine, fruit & vegetable 
juicer, Kitchen Aid mixer and a bread-making machine.
The bedrooms include one king bed, and two with queen beds and one with a double. There 
are also two single couch/beds in the living room. The living/dining/kitchen area is 
open plan, and leads directly onto the outside eating area. Because of the 
ocean/mountain breeze there are no bugs!  And depending on the season, bananas, limes, 
oranges and avocados are in constant supply. 
The upper floor offers glimpses of the Bay and incredibly beautiful sunsets - perfect 
for morning coffee and afternoon margaritas! The Sierra Madre mountain range borders the 
bay & its vastness is amazing!
There are many good shops and restaurants nearby.  Fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and 
seafood are in abundance at the local market, or if you feel the need for a more "busy" 
nightlife or varied shopping, it is only a short trip into Puerto Vallarta.  There is a 
thriving arts community with courses in drawing, ceramics, jewellery making & print 
making.  Music & Dance are also very much a part of the community.  The Sunday market - 
the 'Tiangus' - is another experience that should not be missed. The hustle & bustle - 
the battering & negotiating - is another glimpse of the 'real' Mexico.
The locals are welcoming, warm, and friendly and the charm, gentleness, kindness and 
humour of the people are everywhere - making you feel comfortable, safe and at ease in 
this unique vacation setting.
