There are a large variety of places and things to experience and explore right on our beautiful 
beach:

Beaches – Playas:   There are three principal beaches in the area.
Troncones, where the property is located.  Three miles of pristine white sandy beach perfect for any 
type of water activity.   And just to the north you will find Manzanillo and Majahua.  

Horseback riding:  is available right on the beach. 

Tide pools:  Miles of beach with all sizes of tide pools and other sea life to explore.
On a good day you might see a turtle laying eggs, or whales and dolphins jumping as they pass in 
front of the house.

Fishing:  Some of the worlds best fishing is available here.  There is a small panga available in 
Troncones for rent.  Call Oso, he will remind you of a Minnesota Black Bear (Oso Negro).    
Zihua and Ixtapa are well known as a world class fishing area.  All of the captains and crew have 
been fishing most of their lives.   Many different sizes and types of boats are available off the 
pier in Zihua and Ixtapa.

Surfing-  If this is your sport then you are definitely in the right spot.  Troncones is known as a 
world class surfing area.  

Golf – Ixtapa has two challenging golf courses and several tennis courts.  Palma Real Golf and 
Tennis Club and Marina Ixtapa Golf Course.

Eco Tours:  Costa Nativa Eco Tours.  Cave exploring, hiking, kayaking and bird watching tours 
available.  Discover hidden bike trails around Troncones.  Take your pick of three separate tours 
around the area.  Each tour with experienced English spoken guide.

Swimming, boogie boarding and body surfing:  Villa Festiva has a beautiful swimming beach right in 
front of the property.  No rocks.

Beach Combing:  3.5 miles of pristine beach to find that special treasure.

Snorkeling:  There are two good snorkeling spots, one in Zihua, on Playa Las Gatas and Isla Ixtapa 
in Ixtapa.

Scuba:  Ixtapa and Zihuantanejo can offer you world class diving without world class crowds.  
The waters off the coast of Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa provide some of the best "Pacific" diving 
available. Here you can find everything from Sea Horses to Manta Rays, Nudibranchs to Whalesharks, 
Humpback whales, Dolphins, and the occasional Orca. The diving here has something to offer for all 
levels of diving ability from the beginner to the most advanced. All will find something to remember 
on their dives in the abundant waters off.
