Here at this fabulous spot by the sea,  you will find this two-story custom home comfortably 
furnished and warmly welcoming. Upstairs, there is a  lovely master bedroom with a beautifully tiled 
bathroom, a fully stocked kitchen, a dining/ family room with cable TV, VCR and DVD , and a large 
balcony overlooking the fabulous Sea of Cortez. Downstairs there are two other bedrooms, another 
full bath and complete laundry facilities.  

You’ll want to begin your day by taking your freshly brewed coffee out onto the balcony to catch the 
morning sun rising over the islands in this little piece of paradise. The ocean is stunningly 
beautiful and the sunrise vivid, forming a spectacular backdrop to the sea-going  pangas as they 
make their early start to the best fishing spots. 

Cross the street and go for a dip in the warm ocean waters and then grab your book for some serious 
sun bathing on top of the roof.  Take your time... no one’s in a hurry here.  The atmosphere is 
relaxing and romantic.  Enjoy a leisurely stroll down the beach.  Or take a walk into town and enjoy 
lunch or diner at one of the restaurants on the Malecon.  While the ocean and all its treasures may 
top the list of attractions, don’t neglect to browse the local shops and historic sites in and 
around Loreto. 

In the evening, the roof is the best spot to watch the sunsets that are probably unsurpassed 
anywhere on earth!  The colors literally fill the sky on many nights. The rugged mountain cliffs on 
the west side welcome the setting sun, as the stillness of the surrounding desert ushers in another 
peaceful night in Loreto.

Casa Alegria del Mar is located within the residential area called Costa Loreto, situated 1.5 miles 
north of Loreto dowtown. This distance is certainly a pleasant walk especially if walking by the sea 
shore. There are no groceries shops in this area, so for this and other services like bank, church, 
restaurants, bars, tour agencies, fishing reservations, etc. you would have to go to downtown, so at 
some point a car rental should be considered for some days or full stay. Hertz, Budget and Europe 
Car rental are in Loreto. Cab rides will be your next choice. Usually the fee is 6 or 7 dollars per 
ride from rental to downtown or viceversa.

Ground transportation from airport to rental is available. Shuttle cab driver can be informed in 
advance of your arrival if you are not renting a car. Fee is 22 dollars aproximately for 1-3 
passengers (private ride) or 7-8 dollars per person if more than 4 passengers in ride. Please let us 
know if you wish to be given your name to the airport shuttle cab driver. Fees are paid directly to 
shuttle cab driver.
