Bahia Kino Vacation Rentals, Condos, Villas and Beach Rentals
Bahia Kino
is located in the state of Sonora in northern Mexico. Here you will find a beautiful bay with a long stretch of glistening sand and brilliant blue water. Bahia Kino is actually comprised of two areas on the magnificent Sea of Cortez. Kino Viejo, a quiet fishing village, and Kino Nuevo, with its stretch of secluded homes and condos. Swimming, diving, fishing, skiing and sailing entertain the adventurous, and soft sandy beaches are perfect for those who just want to relax. The beaches of Kino are relatively deserted during the week, but do get more crowded on the weekends. The town of Kino has several restaurants and hotels, with safe and comfortable lodgings plentiful on the waterfront. The Seri Indians sell their handicrafts in shops, including carved wood figures, musical instruments, clay beads and dolls and necklaces made of shells. Points of interest in Bahia Kino include the Museo de los Seris, a museum that teaches you all about the indigenous fishing tribe. Also, 300 yards past the Museo de los Seris is a giant image of the Virgin Mary painted on the face of a hill. The short hike to her perch offers a breathtaking sea view. Bahia Kino provides the perfect escape from the larger, more crowded resort cities. Its soothing breezes, warm waters, and vast expanses of sand are well worth the trip.
