Bajamar has only pebble beaches, but with pounding waves and a majestic, breathtaking shoreline. The golf course is located right next to the beaches. Golf is the main attraction here, but you can also enjoy snorkeling, scuba diving, off road dirt biking and whale watching. Off shore fishing expeditions can be arranged, and this area has more campgrounds and RV parks than any other area on the West Coast of Baja. Just three miles north of Bajamar, at La Salina, are several miles of nice sandy beach for swimming, and the beaches of Ensenada are 30 miles to the south. The busy town of Ensenada also has fantastic restaurants, many featuring their famous fish tacos and lobster. A 25-mile drive north takes you to Fox Studios, where the films “Titanic” and “Pearl Harbor” were filmed - tours are available. For more country interest, visit the many small, charming towns in the region, and the wineries of Ensenada, which is quickly becoming the wine capital of Mexico. |
