is a secluded fishing village located on one of the most beautiful coves in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. In Barras de Piaxtla, you will find miles of gorgeous white sand beaches and rocky tide pools. In fact, bicycles are one of the main modes of transportation in the area, so you will find lots of beautiful bike trails around Barras de Piaxtla. You can also enjoy horseback riding on a deserted beach, sea kayaking or simply enjoying the view as you relax by the ocean. There is also a surf camp located in Barras de Piaxtla that is run year round except for months of February and March. The surf camp offers lessons for beginners through advanced surfers and has all-inclusive four and seven-day packages. If you desire more action, the city of Mazatlan is a short drive from Barras de Piaxtla and offers lots of shopping, dining and nightlife, including their annual carnival, which is held in the month of February.
