Ensenada Vacation Rentals, Condos, Villas and Beach Rentals
Ensenada
is Mexico’s second most popular cruise port and offers an array of cultural attractions. It is situated 65 miles south of Tijuana, and the whole drive offers a continuous view of the Pacific. The beaches north and south of town are excellent for swimming, sunning, surfing and camping. Ensenada is the third largest city in Baja, and both the waterfront and downtown’s main street is a pleasant place to stroll and explore the shops. On the main street along the waterfront is an indoor-outdoor market, with row after row of shrimp, tuna, marlin, snapper and other fish caught off Baja’s coast. Outside, stands sell smoked fish, seafood cocktails and fish tacos. Other places to visit include La Bufadora, a sea geyser that sprouts more than sixty feet into the air, and the Las Bodegas de Santo Tomas, one of Baja’s oldest wineries. The winery gives tours, and also operates a café, shop and gallery. Throughout the year, Ensenada is host to many international events such as the Baja 100 off road race, and the population swells in summer and holiday weekends. However, the town rarely feels overcrowded and it attracts those who want to experience a more traditional Mexican city.
