Huatulco Vacation Rentals, Condos, Villas and Beach Rentals
Huatulco
, or Bahias de Huatulco is a resort community located on the southern Pacific Coast of Mexico, where the beautiful Sierra Madre Mountains form a backdrop. It bills itself as “Paradise Found,” and is a very clean, very pretty place, designed to best take advantage of the nine “bahias,” or bays, found along this region of the Oaxacan Coastline. The string of nine bays from east to west are Conejos, Tangolunda, Chahue, Santa Cruz, El Organo, Maguey, Cacaluta, Chachacual and San Agustin. With a total of 38 tropical beaches, Huatulco remains a low-key beach town, with ample opportunities for outdoor recreation and fun. In Huatulco, you will find rafting trips down the Rio Capolita, swimming, snorkeling, boating, fishing, guided horseback riding and bicycling tours, and golf. A popular activity is to tour all of the bays by boat – standard four to eight hour trips are available, with some offering a lunch of freshly caught fish. Bahia Chahue is a good place to spend a relaxing day at the beach, and has a nice veranda lookout point. Santa Cruz is great for swimming and snorkeling, and has a lovely wrought-iron gazebo, where tourists and locals mingle, sipping a cool drink or cappuccino. You will find an abundance of restaurants in Huatulco, and the city is filled with year-round options for accommodations.
