Puerto Arista Vacation Rentals, Condos, Villas and Beach Rentals
Puerto Arista
is a small fishing village located in the state of Chiapas on the southern Pacific Coast of Mexico. It offers a secluded, private getaway with an uncrowded beach for swimming and several beachfront restaurants that serve fresh “catch of the day” fish and seafood. The closest town is Tonala, which can be reached by bus from Puerto Arista. The village is also the site of a sea turtle and caiman preservation camp. Puerto Arista is located in the state of Chiapas, which is one of the most biological diverse regions in the world with lush green forests and jungles, unique flora and fauna, mountains, canyons and valleys. In short, it is a rugged region that is reminiscent of the Rocky Mountains in some locations and the Amazon Rainforest it others. Chiapas is also home to the ancient Maya ruins of Palenque, Yaxchilan, Bonampak, Chinckultic and Tonina. The cities and villages of this region retain their rich historical and ethnic heritage of their culture. Puerto Arista is definitely a place for quiet reflection, far from the crowds and noise of other better-known tourist destinations in Mexico. Aside from fishing and swimming, other activities to enjoy during your stay in Puerto Arista include birdwatching, surfing and hiking.
