San Quintin Vacation Rentals, Condos, Villas and Beach Rentals
San Quintin
is located approximately four hours south of the international border on Baja California Sur. It is home to one of the largest bays on the west coast of Baja, and the last coastal town before the main highway leads down and over to the Sea of Cortez. San Quintin is still a sleepy little village, but it does cater to tourists - however, there are no large tourist centers or resorts located here. There are a variety of services in San Quintin, including restaurants, gas stations, two banks, and three small motels on a bluff overlooking the bay. A larger hotel is located right on the beach just south of town. San Quintin has beautiful beaches and is popular for boating, fishing, clamming, shelling, swimming and sailing. Fishing is especially good in the three bays nearby, and surf fishing is available on the beaches south of town. Nearby attractions include The Old Mill, located south of town, and The National Observatory, which is about 60 miles northeast off the main highway. San Quintin is a growing area and due to the close proximity to the U.S. Border, plans are underway for a golf course, marina and waterfront homes.
