While staying in Puerto Telchac, be sure to take a day trip to explore the ancient Mayan pyramids of Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Dzibilchaltun, and X-Cambo. The resort city of Cancun is approximately four hours by car, and is a fascinating trip with Mayan ruins and interesting cenotes along the way. The colonial city of Merida is about 50 minutes from Telchac Puerto and has an international airport, and more options for shopping and dining. For a real taste of Mexico, away from the tourist crowds and noise, a stay in Puerto Telchac is just want you’re looking for and will leave you relaxed and refreshed.
